Pastor Kirk Mellen

Kirk was born and raised in a Christian home and at the age of thirteen placed his faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. While a senior in high school he surrendered his life to the Lord to serve Him in whatever capacity the Lord might direct.

After receiving his ministerial training in Bible College, Kirk was ordained to the pastorate by Lifegate Baptist Church of Ellisville, MO in October of 1993 and served as their assistant pastor until December of 2001. The Lord then called Kirk and his family to Corinth, Maine where Kirk served as the senior pastor of Corinth Baptist Church from December 2001 through December 2015.  He began his pastorate at Abundant Life Baptist Church in January of 2016.

Kirk and his wife Terrica have five adult children and two granddaughters. Most of his children live in the Troy area and worship and serve alongside him in the ministry. Kirk enjoys woodworking, following his favorite St. Louis sports teams and tinkering with and riding his Harley Sportster.
