Missions is vital to the life of the church because it reflects God’s heart for all people and His desire that the gospel be shared beyond familiar walls. Missions reminds believers that faith is not meant to be inward-focused but outward-reaching, calling the church to serve, love, and sacrifice for others. In doing so, the church is strengthened, unity grows across cultures, and God’s redemptive work is made visible in the world.
ALBC regularly reads missions updates and prays for the missionaries that have come through our church in the afternoon services. We also invite missionaries to come present their work at various times throughout the year. Additionally, ALBC hosts an annual missions conference which gives our church family the opportunity to spend several days with multiple missionary families at one time, getting to know them and learning about the different ministry opportunities around the world. It is a time of refreshment and encouragement for all as a special speaker presents truth from the Word of God each evening. This conference is a highlight of our year!
